Every storage slot in your stash can hold a maximum of only 10 gold coins. So, having a measly 100 gold coins is enough to take up almost an entire row of your stash. To solve this problem, you can craft the Gold Coin Bag in Dark and Darker.
What Is The Gold Coin Bag
The Gold Coin Bag, as the name suggests, is a bag to hold gold coins in Dark and Darker. Once you have it in your inventory, all your gold storage problems will be solved. Taking up only a 2×2 slot in your inventory, the Gold Coin Bag can hold up to 1,000 gold coins.
That many gold coins are equivalent to nearly 100 inventory slots. So, you can buy 100 extra inventory slots dedicated to your gold coins in exchange for just four slots in your stash.
You can craft as many Gold Coin Bags as you want, providing you with tons of extra storage for your gold coins, and leaving space for other gear and items as well. But getting your hands on one of these bags can be a bit challenging.
How To Craft Gold Coin Bag
Unfortunately, the Gold Coin Bag isn’t an item that you can loot from the dungeon or pick up from slaying bosses. This bag can only be crafted by the Leathersmith after you get the recipe for this item.
The recipe for the Gold Coin Bag is unlocked by completing quests provided to you by the Leathersmith. Completing the quests will unlock this recipe in the ‘Services’ tab of this merchant.
The material required to craft the Gold Coin Bag includes one Troll Pelt and four Wolf Pelts. Here’s how you can acquire these materials:
- Troll Pelt: The Troll Pelt is a rare-grade item that has a 15 percent chance to be dropped after slaying a Cave Troll. You can find a Cave Troll in the Goblin Cave dungeon.
- Wolf Pelt: The Wolf Pelt is a common-grade item that has a slim chance (around seven percent) of being dropped by killing Dire Wolves and Frost Wolves. It is much easier to acquire this item, since wolves are easy to kill, and there are many of them.
Be careful when engaging the Cave Troll, since it is a Dungeon Boss. It is similar to the Cyclops, so you could be insta-killed if you are not careful.
