Glamorous might as well be Jennifer Lopez’s middle name, because no matter where the star is going—dashing over to her dance studio, enjoying a midday stroll with husband Ben Affleck, or gracing the red carpet—she always shows out. Last night, for a girls’ night out in New York City, she made a cozy sweater look so luxurious.
The “On the Floor” hitmaker took to Instagram yesterday to share some snaps of her dinner with friend and producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. (The two have worked together on several projects including Maid in Manhattan, Hustlers, and Lopez’s genre-bending movie-musical This is Me…Now.) In the slideshow, Lopez included two mirror selfies that show her wearing a cropped knit sweater with wide ribbing along the hem, cuffs, and turtleneck, in a bone-white shade. She paired the fall staple with high-waisted, wide-leg jeans in a medium wash. Then, to bring things from casual to opulent, she accented the outfit with a shiny gold bangle; gold drop earrings with a large pendant embossed with the jewelry brand’s name, Chantecler Capri; and oversize shades with thin gold-plated frames and slightly-tinted lenses. Peaking out in the background was one of her trusty Hermès Birkins, this one a small white-and-brown crocodile embossed purse. She glammed up with bronzy makeup, complete with a deep-berry lip and classic red manicure, and styled her blonde-highlighted brunette locks in a slicked back bun.
As for Goldsmith-Thomas, she also channeled autumn in a slouchy chocolate-brown long sleeve shirt, paired with a long chain necklace and medium-size hoop earrings. The producer opted for minimal makeup and styled her straight chestnut tresses down with her wispy bangs spread across her forehead.
Lopez transitioned another knit sweater from cold weather to springtime last month, when she and Affleck were spotted apartment hunting in New York. For the outing, Lopez brightened up a brown-and-black turtleneck sweater with wide-leg jeans in a vibrant medium wash and a pair of creamy-beige peep-toe pumps. For an extra layer, she added a tailored heather brown blazer.
