Days into her press tour, Nicole Richie isn’t running out of looks to serve anytime soon.
The Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead star, 42, donned a skintight sheer gold dress as she arrived Wednesday at The Kelly Clarkson Show in New York City.
Her long-sleeve, ankle-length ensemble was ruched at the waist, accentuating her figure.
Richie completed the ensemble with a pair of black wayfarer sunglasses, a gold medallion necklace and brown pumps.
‘I’ve been a Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead fan since day one; having the opportunity to play Rose is a dream come true,’ she told Entertainment Weekly.
Simone Joy Jones plays Tanya Crandell (a surrogate for the character originated by Christina Applegate), a teen girl tasked with taking care of her siblings for the summer after their mother leaves town and the sitter unexpectedly dies.
Lying about her age and experience, Tanya ends up as the executive assistant to Rose, who was originally played by Joanna Cassidy.
Richie and Cassidy, 78, were both present at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere last week.
The House of Harlow mogul’s husband Joel Madden, their daughter Harlow, 16, and 14-year-old son Sparrow where there to show their support.
She told Today that her kids’ teenage years have been her ‘favorite stage‘ of parenting so far.
‘I just so clearly remember being 16 that it’s actually surprising how quickly I can go back there,’ said Richie.
‘When my daughter’s telling me drama with her friends, I go, “I remember. Laila Heckmath did that to me,”‘ she added.
‘I remember first and last names, so it’s fun. It’s wild. And just the best.’
Nicole’s dad Lionel Richie and his girlfriend Lisa Parigi also showed up to cheer on his daughter at the premiere, posing together on the red carpet.
‘Everyone came, the whole fam came. It was very sweet,’ she said on Today.
Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead premieres April 12 in theaters, streaming May 16 on Hulu.
