Stray Kids’ “Back Door” becomes certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America

On June 14, JYP Entertainment announced that Stray Kids’ 2020 hit “Back Door” has now been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The special gold certification is awarded by the RIAA to albums or singles that surpass 500,000 sales in the US. As “Back Door” achieves this milestone, it has become Stray Kids’ fifth RIAA gold certification, following the recent gold status of “God’s Menu,” “MANIAC,” “5-STAR,” and “ROCK-STAR.”

This achievement is particularly meaningful for the group, due to the fact that “Back Door” was produced by Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han.

With this latest milestone, Stray Kids has now become the second K-pop group to earn RIAA gold certifications for three different songs, following BTS.
