Tributes have been paid to the ‘most beautiful, kind and caring person in the world’ after the tragic death of a Nuneaton woman. Gemma Wright sadly died suddenly at her home in Birmingham Road, Ansley, aged just 39.
She was famed for her kind heartedness, not only to those she loved around her but also for good causes, helping to support charities such as Myton Hospice in her spare time. As her family try to come to terms with their unthinkable loss, Gemma’s friends have rallied to make sure that the former Alderman Smith School pupil is given the send off ‘she deserves’.
“She was the most beautiful, kind and caring person in the world,” said Jodie Iliffe, who has set-up a gofundme page in her friend’s honour. “She was loved and adored by so many, would always put everyone else before her own needs and was always there whenever you needed her.”
She added: “She (Gemma) had a heart of gold and to everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her, was to understand how truly amazing she was.”
“We are trying to support the family by raising funds towards the funeral and we would love to help in anyway we can towards the costs. “

While the community remains in shock following her death on Tuesday, April 9, it too has rallied to support Gemma’s family and her partner, Cael. As well as the fund-raising page, her friends are holding a special sale at Furnace End Car Boot this Sunday (April 21) – something Gemma loved doing.
“Gemma was really into her antiques and she used to buy and sell things, and do craft fairs, and had a stall at Hoar Park where she sold pre-loved items and antiques,” Jodie explained. “This Sunday, weather permitting, all of the girls will be doing a final sale for her. We will be taking all of the things up there that she would have sold herself.
“All of the money we take during the sale will go towards her funeral as well.” Elsewhere in the village, Ansley Post Office is also collecting donations towards the fund-raiser.
Gemma’s funeral, which is being organised by Devall and Son, is being held on Friday, May 10 at 2pm at St Laurence Church in Ansley. It will be followed by a celebration of her life at the ‘Stute in Galley Common. As Gemma loved headwear and long necklaces, her family have encouraged anyone to wear them in her memory.
