Ukrainians won two more “gold” medals at the wrestling tournament in Zagreb


The Ukrainian national team secured additional medals at the international ranking wrestling tournament, Zagreb Open, in Croatia.

On the penultimate day of the competition, Parviz Nasibov, a silver medalist at the 2020 Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling from Zaporizhzhia, and Irina Zablotska from Prykarpattia claimed the top spot on the podium.

Parviz Nasibov won the final in the weight category up to 67 kg against French wrestler Gagik Snjoyan (4:3), while Zablotska (72 kg) convincingly defeated Serbian Fanni Nagy Nad (5:0).

 

 

With these achievements, Ukraine has now accumulated a total of seven medals in Zagreb. Previously, gold medals were secured by Alina Filipovich (59 kg) and Alla Belinska (65 kg), while silver went to Andriy Dzhelep (61 kg). Bronze medals were claimed by Maria Vynnyk (55 kg) and Tetiana Sova-Rizhko (68 kg).
