It was a day of festivities in Willie Mullins’ yard as his team celebrated Galopin des Champs’ Cheltenham Gold Cup win on Tuesday.
The 2024 Festival proved a historic one for Mullins as he captured his 100th Festival winner, further cementing his legacy as one of the true greats.
And Mullins, who had nine winners at this year’s festival, topped the trainer standings and was happy to pose for photos to mark today’s homecoming.
The day, of course, belonged to Gold Cup winner Galopin des Champs who won the race for the second successive year.
Mullins also made sure to pose with Jasmin De Vaux, the horse that raced to his 100th festival win.
On a special day, Galopin des Champs was paraded through Leighlinbridge in Carlow with hundreds coming out for the event to show their support.
Also on hand was Paul Townend as he celebrated his success, winning six times at Prestbury Park and now boasting 34 Festival winners in total.
