BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Exploration works
for noble metals are being carried out in mine-cleared areas in
Kalbajar, AzerGold CJSC Chairman of the Board Zakir Ibragimov said
during the press conference dedicated to the results of 2023

“AzerGold” CJSC has started step-by-step geological exploration
and prospecting works at the noble metal deposit “Tutkhun,” located
in the administrative territory of Kalbajar district, since 2022.
The prospecting work is carried out only in the territories cleared
of mines. “AzerGold” had planned to conduct research in the area of
273 square kilometers in the “Tutkhun” deposit, but exploration
works were conducted in the area of 57 square kilometers, which was
defined by the end of 2023. Preliminary results are satisfactory,
and exploration is ongoing. Exploration is planned to start this
year on another 32 square kilometers. Currently, ANAMA specialists
are clearing the territory of mines and other unexploded ordnance,”
