The allure of precious metals continues to wane in the domestic market, as both gold and silver persist in their downward trajectory today. Gold prices saw a dip of Rs 500 per tola, while silver followed suit with a drop of Rs 15 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FeNeGoSiDA), fine gold is now trading at Rs 118,000 per tola, marking a decrease from Monday’s rate of Rs 118,500 per tola. Tejabi gold is also witnessing a decline, being traded at Rs 117,450 per tola compared to Monday’s rate of Rs 117,950 per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver has slipped further by Rs 15 per tola to reach Rs 1,375 per tola, down from Monday’s rate of Rs 1,390 per tola.
This week has seen gold losing at total of Rs 1500 per tola so far while silver has dropped by Rs 40 per tola, indicating a significant loss in value for these precious metals.
