Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has signed into law Assembly Bill 29 and Senate Bill 33, abolishing sales taxes on precious metals in the state.

This legislative move acknowledges purchases of various metals like gold and silver as investments.

As per the new law, transactions involving coins, bars, rounds, or sheets comprising at least 35 percent gold, silver, copper, platinum, or palladium will no longer incur sales tax.

These amendments take effect immediately.
