Nord Precious Metals (TSXV:NTH) has amended two agreements in its acquisition of four claim blocks on the LCT lithium property.
Located near Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the LCT (lithium-cesium-tantalum) property is next to Power Metals’ (TSXV:PWM) Case Lake Project.
The Coquitlam, B.C.-based company signed the property option agreements with Zachary St-Denis for a 100 per cent interest in the claim blocks, subject to a 2 per cent net smelter return (NSR).
The agreement was initially signed last year and under the amended options, the company will now be issuing 800,000 shares at $0.05 per share in lieu of a C$40,000 cash payment on the first anniversary of the agreements.
At the time, Gerhard Kiessling, P.Geo. VP exploration, commented in a statement that, “The location, size, and proximity to existing lithium discoveries has our team excited to get started working on this property. With the demand for lithium increasing, we feel that we are in the right place at the right time and are currently in the process of planning a substantial exploration program for the 2023 field season.”
