From July 8, 2024, Randel Freeman will join GAM to work closely with Albert Saporta in developing investment capabilities in the alternative field, assuming the role of Co-Head / Co-CIO of the new specialized division, GAM Alternatives (GAMAlts).
With over 30 years of experience in global hedge fund management, Randel has managed a series of alternative investment funds and managed accounts throughout his career. He has held key roles at SSVL Monaco and Fortress Centaurus Global Fund, among others, before co-founding Centaurus Capital in 2000. As co-head, Freeman will work with Saporta to expand GAM’s solid investment capabilities, already consolidated in equity and fixed income strategies, introducing GAM Alternatives.
GAM has a 40-year history in providing clients with access to innovative alternative asset classes for institutional and wealth investors. With the growth of demand for active portfolio diversification and alpha generation, we are excited that Randy Freeman is joining us as co-head of the alternative investment division, reigniting our founding DNA in alternative investments and completing our already robust range of High Conviction equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Investment solutions.
