7Design’s latest MC20 isn’t for everyone as it features a shiny silver carbon composite body kit
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 38%, so perhaps it’s fitting that critics may not fall in love with 7Design’s Aria Silver Surfer either.
Based on the Maserati MC20 Cielo, the car draws inspiration from vintage aviation and aims to “fuse carbon, art and performance.” While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the silver carbon composite body kit isn’t for everyone.
That being said, the car has been outfitted with the complete V2 Aria carbon kit that includes a “newly designed high rear wing and rear boomerang engine vents.” The company said the kit was developed in a simulated wind tunnel and is functional as it generates up to 901 lbs (409 kg) of downforce at 200 mph (322 km/h).

7Design didn’t have much else to say, but their previous MC20 kit included a new front splitter, side skirts, and a rear diffuser. They were joined by canards and hood vent inserts, and all of these components can also be found on their latest build.
While the company offers an aftermarket exhaust that provides an additional 28 hp (21 kW / 28 PS), 7Design didn’t say if it was outfitted on this particular model. Regardless, the MC20 Cielo isn’t lacking in power as its twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 develops 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 538 lb-ft (729 Nm) of torque. This enables the car to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 199 mph (320 km/h).
