Frankenstein models usually get met with more ridicule than acclaim, but the Air Jordan 2/3 has been pretty well received thus far. The low-top hybrid shoe has only released in a handful of colorways since its debut earlier this year, but it now appears more fresh looks are en route for Fall 2024.
To the uninitiated; the new hybrid model marries the upper of the Jordan 2 with the sole of the Jordan 3. Jordan Brand has a long history of pumping out wacky mash-ups, and while a select few like the Spiz’ike get the “valid” stamp, most hybrid models, especially those from the late 2000s, can be summed up by the question; what were they thinking? However, that’s not at all the case with the Jordan 2/3. The shoe’s upper and lower halves blend seamlessly, producing a new yet familiar look that feels like it’s been around for years.
Three colorways have released thus far, all of which feature simple, almost two-tone color blocking with white leather uppers and “Sail” midsoles. This latest pair stands as the first black-dominant colorway we’ve seen to date, with “Metallic Silver” swatched onto the heel, quarter piping, wings logo, and outsole.
If you’ve been waiting on the Jordan 2/3 in black, look for these to hit shelves during the Fall 2024 shopping season for $160. See official images below and tap our Jordan Release Dates page to preview more upcoming pairs by the Jumpman.
Pivoting to another new hybrid model, the Jordan Spiz’ike Low continues to surface in new colorways.
