Camila Cabello turned heads as she stepped out in New York on Wednesday night after her appearance on Jimmy Fallon‘s The Tonight Show.
The singer, 27, who performed her new song I Luv It on the show, wowed in the silver chainmail dress which showed off her long legs.
Camila teamed the look with perspex heels, a diamond necklace and smokey eyeshadow.
During her interview, Camila revealed how the Met Gala appearance nearly ended in disaster when her ice block bag broke just minutes before she was due to walk the red carpet.
Telling the story behind the picture of herself at the Met Gala, Camila told Jimmy: ‘I think the this is the face of a woman who is stressed
‘I get this purse that we took out of a freezer which was a block of ice. I didn’t think about the fact that ice very quickly melts.
‘So I get there and it’s a nightmare situation as the clutch breaks. I think Ed Sheeran was there. He was telling a joke and somebody accidentally moved it.
‘Before I take my picture taken the clutch completely breaks. I have like Amanda Gorman, Rachel Sennott, Kaia Gerber and Emma Chamberlain.
‘They all turn around and gasp. I was stressed because this was just unplanned. This is not what you want to happen with a bunch of famous people looking at you having a breakdown during the line before you take your picture at the Met Gala.’
Camila revealed she proceeded to hold the block of ice by the hand after the handle broke with Jerry Seinfield offering a handkerchief as she struggled with the cold.
Over the weekend on Sunday, Camila put on a fashionable display at the 2024 Billboard Latin Women in Music Gala which took place at the Telemundo Center in Miami.
The performer wowed in a figure-hugging, black leather dress that clung to her frame and also had a corset-styled bodice.
She was honoured with the Global Impact Award during the star-studded festivities, and took to the stage to giving a moving acceptance speech.
At one point, she gave a special shout out to her mother, Sinuhe, while addressing the crowd, per Billboard.
‘I was thinking about what to say tonight here in front of you and I decided to take this moment to thank my mom,’ Camila expressed, while holding the award in her hands.
‘Honestly, I had never taken a moment to talk about her like this, so I wanted to do it tonight.’
‘When the world is suffering, the headlines make my chest hurt with news of war and death with dangerous amounts of lack of compassion, my mom reminds me that there is love in this world.’
The performer added, ‘She inspires me with that infinite strength that just being herself, transmits her endless energy and encourages my sister and me no matter how exhausted she is.’
‘She shows me that there is hope in this world. Her best advice is not something she says but something she practices – her kindness, empathy and, most importantly, how she treats people.’
After receiving the honour, Camila spoke with Billboard backstage and stated, ‘It feels like it really didn’t sink in until I saw that video, and saw the trajectory of my career and the journey that I’ve been on in the past several years.’
‘Seeing my parents getting emotional, and seeing things that I’ve been able to do in music but also with people…my interaction with people around the world has been so fulfilling.’
The Worth It hitmaker added, ‘I’ve just gotten to see so much and feel really thankful that I’ve gotten the opportunity that I’ve gotten to interact with people.’
