ANTRIM ace Danielle Hill has bagged a silver medal at the 100m backstroke final at the European Aquatics Championships in Belgrade.
The Irish swimmer finished runner-up to Polish ace Adela Piskorska in the Serbian captital.
The Newtownabbey native clocked a time of 1:00.19 in 100 backstroke finale.
24-year-old Hill will swim ONLY in the 100 metres backstroke at the Olympics as the 50m event is not contested.
Lottie Cullen finished 5th in her first ever European Final.
On Thursday, Hill won gold for Ireland in the 50 metre backstroke as she swam a time of 27.73 to book top place on the podium in the Serbian capital.
She finished ahead of Greek star Theodora Drakou, who was 0.15 seconds behind Hill to finish runner-up with Poland’s Lora Piskorska in third.
Hill sealed her her passage to a second Olympic Games last month.
She broke her own Irish record in the 100m backstroke at the Irish Open.
The Antrim ace competed in the women’s 100 metre backstroke at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

He also set a new Irish senior record in the heats as he carded a time of 21.82.
