An East of England Co-Op store in a quiet Essex village was robbed by an armed crook with a metal baton. Last month, a suspect stormed the shop in Silver End and demanded staff open the till before taking the entire contents.
Essex Police are now appealing for the public’s help to trace the suspect in the case, following the incident which took place on February 14 this year at 9.40pm. A spokesman for the police said: “A masked suspect, holding a metal baton, entered the Co-op store in Broadway, Silver End, demanding staff open the till.
“The suspect left the store with the entire till drawer and cash contents. Thankfully, no one was injured. The suspect was dressed in all black with a Firetrap hoodie, Nike joggers, white trainers and a camo balaclava.
