Floyd Patrick Silver

Floyd Patrick Silver Jr. 70, of Hackberry, La. passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Sulphur. He was born to his late parents, Floyd and Mary Silver on March 17, 1954 in Lake Charles. In his earlier years, he enjoyed cast netting, playing pool, demolition derby, and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 51 years, Bernadette Silver; two children, Patrick Loree’ Silver (Theresa) and Tabitha Silver Hoffman (Eric), both of Sulphur; brother, Robert Lee Silver (Alta Mae) of Hackberry; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; niece, Rashell Benoit (David), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tina Marie Silver; along with one brother, Clarence “Butch” Silver, along with his wife, Sue Silver.
A Celebration of Floyd’s life will be held at the Hackberry Community Center on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jimmy Sanner officiating. Visitation will be at the Center on Monday, beginning at 11 a.m., until the time of the service. A Rosary will be held at 12 p.m., led by Father Arvind Minz. Burial will follow at Hackberry Community Cemetery in Hackberry, La.
