Gold, silver price today, July 17, 2024: Yellow metal trades higher, silver records dip on MCX


Precious metals showed mixed trends in the Indian markets today. Gold is trading on the higher side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) while silver prices have recorded a dip on Wednesday, July 17.

Gold futures, maturing on August 5, 2024, stood at Rs 74,280 per 10 grams, after recording a marginal hike of Rs 7 or 0.01 per cent. The previous close was recorded at Rs 74,273.

Meanwhile, silver futures, due on September 5, 2024, witnessed a dip of Rs 54 or 0.06 per cent and were retailing at Rs 93,806 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 93,860.
