The Guardians of the Silver Age: Meaningful Aging and Compassionate Care Summit saw a huge turnout, with around 130 stakeholders from various sectors attending the event, including healthcare, welfare, business and public policy.
The summit aimed to promote solution-oriented dialogue to enhance the quality of life for the elderly in Hong Kong.
Launched four years ago, by the D H Chen Foundation and Generation Hong Kong, the Guardians of the Silver Age works to push for innovative development while promoting high-quality and dignified life for the elderly.
It has provided training and up-skilling for frontline care workers and practitioners, while also pioneering a program to nurture values among the younger generation.
The chief strategist of the foundation, Karen Cheung, emphasized the importance of guiding individuals from a young age to understand that even small acts can have a significant influence and motivate everyone to care for those in need.
