USA Shooting athlete Dania Vizzi walked away from the Women’s Skeet final at the 2024 ISSF Lonato World Cup with a silver medal after shooting 56 of 60 targets, only one point behind the gold medalist, Diana Bacosi of Italy. The competition was held in Lonato, Italy, June 10-19.

In the Women’s Skeet qualification round, Vizzi shattered 121 of 125 targets, placing her in a three-way tie for first place with U.S. teammate Austen Smith and Victoria Larsson of Sweden. Vizzi won the subsequent shoot-off to enter the Women’s Skeet final in first place.
During the Women’s Skeet final, Vizzi claimed the silver medal after shooting 56 of 60 targets, dropping a single target in each of the first four series.
A member of Team Winchester, Vizzi shoots the company’s AA International, 24-gram No. 9, 1,325 f.p.s. target load.
Additionally, Team USA’s Austen Smith posted a podium finish in the Women’s Skeet event, taking the bronze medal with 45 of 60 targets. She also won a gold medal with U.S. teammate and three-time Olympic gold medalist Vincent Hancock in the Mixed Team Skeet event.
Both Vizzi and Smith will compete for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Women’s Skeet and Mixed Team Skeet events, with the latter making its Olympic Games debut this year. Also competing in shotgun events at the Paris 2024 Games for Team USA this summer are Vincent Hancock, Conner Prince, Ryann Phillips, Rachel Tozier, Will Hinton and Derrick Mein.

At the 2024 ISSF Lonato World Cup, Team USA secured more medals than any other country in competition with four medal total. Besides Vizzi’s silver medal and Smith’s bronze in Women’s Skeet, USA Shooting’s Conner Prince took the silver medal in Men’s Skeet, while Vincent Hancock and Austen Smith won the aforementioned gold medal in the Mixed Team Skeet event.
