Thousands of soldiers, dozens of aircraft, hundreds of vehicles, and camels: A grand military parade celebrates the Silver Jubilee:
- 3,200 military personnel
- 8,000 attendees, including Their Majesties the King and Queen
- 35 aircraft, including jet fighters and helicopters
- 156 military vehicles
On Sunday, Jordanians mark the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II assuming his constitutional powers and ascending the throne 25 years ago.
Across various governorates, national events with military and civilian participation will highlight the Kingdom’s achievements over the past quarter century.
The event field will host 8,000 people from various ranks and backgrounds.
This grand celebration, held in a specially prepared field, will feature His Majesty King Abdullah II, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, His Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, other royal family members, and representatives from various official and popular bodies.
A military parade, conducted by the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army and security services, will showcase developments within these institutions over the past 25 years.
The military event will involve 3,200 personnel from various military and security sectors, according to information obtained by Roya.
The display will feature dozens of vehicles and aircraft, as well as a parachute jump, to highlight the advancements in training and armament within the armed forces.
The parade will include:
- 3,200 military personnel
- 156 military vehicles
- 35 aircraft

The event will also feature F16 warplanes, a 21-gun salute, and displays of military equipment manufactured and developed by Jordanian Armed Forces personnel.
Artillery will fire 21 shots to welcome King Abdullah II upon his arrival, followed by two F16 fighter jets performing a “field salute.” The parade will then continue with the presentation of seven military and police flags, along with the Silver Jubilee flag, in a solemn display of national symbolism.
The flags will be presented in the following order:
- Flag of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
- Flag of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army
- Flag of the Public Security Directorate
- Flag of the General Intelligence Department
- Flag of the Royal Jordanian Air Force Command
- Flag of the Royal Jordanian Navy

On the civilian side, trucks will parade around the field, each representing one of the twelve governorates of the Kingdom. These trucks will display models reflecting the governorate’s unique advantages, development stages, terrain, and rich heritage, including castles, palaces, forests, and flowers.
The celebration will conclude with fireworks illuminating the sky over Al Hussein Public Parks in Dabouq, witnessed by thousands of Jordanians celebrating this historic day.
