Lindsay Lohan looked in top form as she took over the red carpet at the Irish Wish premiere in New York City on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old former child star — who said she’s ‘excited’ to be working with Jamie Lee Curtis again — sparkled in a silver satin gown while arriving at the Big Apple’s historic Paris Theater.
Effortlessly exuding movie star glamour, the Mean Girls alum captivated fans in her plunging ensemble, showcasing a sleeveless silhouette.
The stunning star kept her trademark ginger locks styled long and loose, allowing her natural beauty to take center stage as she opted for minimal makeup.
It was a family affair at the Netflix event, as Lindsay was supported by mom Dina Lohan, 61, dad Michael Lohan, 63, sister Ali Lohan, 30 and brother Dakota Lohan, 27, who also has a role in the new romantic comedy.
While Lindsay’s husband Bader Shammas was present, it was unclear if Lindsay’s brother Michael Lohan Jr, 36, was part of the shindig.
Lindsay and Dakota were joined by their Irish Wish co-stars Ed Speleers, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, Jane Seymour, Jacinta Mulcahy, and Matthew McCabe.
Also attending the event was the film’s director, Janeen Damian, and its writer, Kirsten Hansen.
The official synopsis for the production reads: ‘Lohan plays Maddie Kelly, a book editor who finds herself in Ireland attending a nightmare wedding: that of the love of her life (Alexander Vlahos) and her best friend (Tan).
‘On a whim, she wishes the wedding was hers, and the magic of the emerald isle obliges: Maddie finds herself in an alternate reality, with seemingly everything she could have wanted.
‘But soon, she’ll have to decide between the life she wished for and the possibility of true happiness — with a lightly antagonistic nature photographer (Speleers).’
The Lohan reunion follows years of family discord that had torn them apart.
In 2007, Dina and Michael ended their 22-year marriage, thrusting their tumultuous divorce into the spotlight.
Dina asserted that Michael failed to provide child support, while he publicly advised Lindsay to distance herself from her mother.
The situation escalated when Dina made startling allegations of domestic abuse, accusing Michael of posing a threat to both her and Lindsay.
Dina also blamed him for Lindsay’s highly-publicized struggles with drugs and alcohol.
‘Lindsay saw her dad abuse me — that’s why she’s so screwed up,’ she told the New York Daily News in 2013.
The Lohans continued to be been torn apart by years of public disputes and legal battles.
Michael was often in the media for his public disagreements with both Lindsay and Dina, further straining the family dynamic.
In 2016, Lindsay told DailyMail.com, ‘‘My father is known for talking to the press and selling stories. He loves the attention. In the past he’s said I’ve done drugs, he put my number on the internet.
‘Who does that? Some of the stuff he’s done proves to me he doesn’t care about me.’
Despite these challenges, the family occasionally made efforts to reconcile, with a notable reunion marking a tentative step towards healing in their fractured relationship.
In April 2016, Michael and Dina appeared on the Steve Harvey Show, publicly acknowledging that their own relationship struggles had impacted Lindsay, contributing to her troubles with substance abuse.
‘I think we are responsible for the path that Lindsay took,’ Michael revealed on the Steve Harvey Show..
‘Our divorce . . . affected Lindsay to the point where she drowned her sorrows and numbed her pain.’
Michael’s journey took another public turn after his marriage to Kate Major in 2014, leading to more noteworthy family drama.
In 2010, he proposed to the ex-reporter, and their union was formalized in 2014, culminating in the birth of their sons, Landon and Logan.
However, the relationship took a turbulent turn in 2018 when Kate filed for divorce shortly after a domestic violence incident that led to her arrest.
In 2020, Michael faced legal trouble himself, arrested and charged for allegedly choking and harassing Kate.
Subsequently, the charges were dropped. As of June 2022, court records indicate he resides near Houston, Texas.
In the midst of her reality show appearances, Dina encountered legal challenges as well, notably after a vehicular collision in Long Island in January 2020.
Subsequently, she pleaded not guilty to a driving while intoxicated (DWI) charge and served a brief jail sentence in September 2021.
This wasn’t her first brush with the law, as she faced a DWI charge in September 2013, resulting in a 2014 sentencing where a Nassau County district court judge mandated 100 hours of community service, a one-year driver’s license suspension, and a $3,000 fine.
