Sanjana bags 1 silver, 2 bronze medals at Aquatics C’ship

PANJIM: Goan swimmer Sanjana Prabhugaonker won one silver and two bronze medals at the ongoing BIMSTEC Aquatics Sports Championship 2024, at the Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Swimming Pool Complex, Talkatora, New Delhi, featuring competitions in swimming, water polo and diving for athletes U-20, on Wednesday.
On the third day, Sanjana, representing India begged one silver medal in 200m backstroke. On first day, she bagged her first bronze medal in 100m backstroke with Palak Joshi (India) getting gold and Chayapapansuwan (Thailand) securing silver. On second day, Sanjana, got her second bronze medal in 50m backstroke with Palak Joshi (India) getting gold and Chayapapansuwan (Thailand) getting silver.
The BIMSTEC – The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation includes seven countries namely India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
