WACO, Texas (KWTX) – UPDATE: The Waco Police Dept. late Wednesday night said Jay David Cook, 82, had been located.
“Thank you, Waco. Mr. Cook bas been located and is safe. The Silver alert has been discontinued,” police wrote in a social media update.
No further information was provided.

The Waco Police Department is asking the community for help locating 82-year-old for Jay David Cook.
The elderly man left his apartment near the 300 Block of W. Highway 6 at 11 a.m. on July 2.
His was last seen driving in a 2015 silver-colored Honda Civic on I-20 headed west of Fort Worth.
Police said Cook is 5’11” and weighs about 180 pounds.
He has gray hair and blue eyes.
“Mr. Cook is an insulin-dependent diabetic with coronary disease, a recently implanted pacemaker, and a mental health consumer,” police said.
If he has his medication with him, it is only enough to last until Saturday.
