Silver prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange surged Rs 1,494 to Rs 96,727 per kg on Friday, fueled by increased investor interest.
New Delhi, Feb 14 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday jumped Rs 1,494 to Rs 96,727 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 1,494 or 1.57 per cent to Rs 96,727 per kg in a business turnover of 20,662 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 0.70 per cent lower at USD 32.57 per ounce in New York.
