A Fenian sash, military trunk and a bank note that beat inflation
Co Cavan based auctioneer Victor Mee has an intriguingly titled auction called Battlefields & Silverscreens: A Distinguished Auction of Militaria, Irish Silver & Movie Memorabilia, which takes place on March 21.
Two notable historical lots of national interest include lot 177, a rare framed Fenian Sash, (€2,000-€3,000), and lot 386, a Victorian, iron-bound, military campaign trunk, 14th Hussars, property of Captain Knox Brittas Castle Thurles, (€200-€300).
