The cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues growing, as a new rumor suggests a solo project for the Silver Surfer is in development at Marvel Studios.
Fans were ecstatic when rumors began to point to Galactus and the Silver Surfer being the main villains of The Fantastic Four. Many viewed this as the MCU having a shot at redeeming some of the most mistreated characters in live-action adaptations. However, it seems Silver Surfer’s future in the Marvel Universe isn’t limited to just a villain, with scooper DanielRPK suggesting the character could get their own solo project sometime in the future.
It’s likely any Silver Surfer project wouldn’t start development until The Fantastic Four comes out, with Marvel using the film to test the waters for how fans enjoy a new incarnation of Galactus and his heralds. With the film hitting theaters in 2024, Silver Surfer’s MCU future looks bright.
