Trinidad and Tobago won the silver medal in the Team Sprint at the 2024 Junior Pan American Track Championships in Lima, Peru.
The team of Danell James, Syndell Samaroo, and Jelani Nedd powered to second place behind Columbia, with Mexico in third place.
The trio also set a new national team sprint record with a time of 46.349 seconds.
Trinidad and Tobago qualified first with a time of 46.776 seconds ahead of Columbia (47.250) and Mexico (47.438).
Makaira Wallace is due to compete in the women’s scratch on Thursday.
The 2024 Junior Pan American Track Championship runs from 19-23 June.
