Dunboyne AC in county Meath hosted the 53rd running of the Dunboyne 10k road race on Sunday last.
This year’s edition also incorporated the National 10k Championship.
This local club race, with a big race reputation, has long been a landmark event on the Irish road racing calendar.
The circuit took the athletes on a flat left-handed route through the Moor Of Meath, starting in Dunboyne village and finishing with a lap of Dunboyne AC’s 400 metres tartan track.
Running the national event section was Willie O’Donoghue of Mooreabbey Milers AC who crossed the finish line in 37.44 to take the national championship silver medal in his category.
