Louise Thompson has revealed plans to marry her fiance Ryan Libbey in late 2025.
The couple, who got engaged in 2018 and welcomed their first child, Leo-Hunter, in 2021, had to postpone their wedding due to Louise’s challenging pregnancy and ongoing health issues, including ulcerative colitis and lupus.
Louise almost died during childbirth at the end of 2021, previously telling her fans mother and baby were “dancing with death” at one point. Ryan recently opened up about his future wife’s ordeal, sharing that she was put on suicide watch after giving birth.
The former Made In Chelsea star shared that she and Ryan recently had a deep conversation about their future, during which he expressed his desire to get married. Speaking to Closer magazine, she said: “Ryan and I had a really amazing conversation a couple of weeks ago. We were both a bit fed up and he decided that we should go on a walk to the park.”
She continued: “We spent five hours in the park hashing out stuff that we haven’t spoken about in two-and-a-half years. And one of the things that he did uncover was that a wedding would mean a lot to him. And I never knew that, because we’d never spoken about it.”
Louise admitted that she hadn’t been dreaming of a big white wedding, but knowing how much it means to Ryan has made her more excited about it. She added: “He literally said, ‘If I die without having got married, I won’t feel like I’ve lived a complete life’. I thought it was really cute and just confirmed to me how much he loves me.”
Louise has her sights set on a wedding date, believing that a year-and-a-half of preparation will allow her to craft her dream ceremony. The TV star, and sibling of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! champ Sam Thompson, revealed: “I don’t want to rush anything though. Maybe we can plan something for the end of next year I love the idea of a beautiful winter wedding.”
She added, “I think there’s an expectation that I’ll get married abroad, but that might be too much work. And I love the idea of Leo being the cutest little ring bearer!”
