The lower-for-longer world of zero interest rates proved a challenging time for alternative investors, but that tide could be about to turn.
Speaking to Citywire Selector, Matt Barrett, head of manager research at alts specialist Kepler Partners, said the move to higher rates in global central bank policymaking has opened up much-needed dispersion among regions and asset classes.
All of this, Barrett said, could prove hugely beneficial to a stalwart of the investment industry – hedge funds.
