Citywire Selector | Morgan Stanley IM unveils ‘liquid alpha’ strategy for hedge fund team

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has launched a Ucits-compliant version of a systematic liquid alpha fund, designed to offer low correlation to traditional asset classes.

The MS INVF Systematic Liquid Alpha fund is a mixed-asset strategy overseen by the group’s hedge fund team, which has combined experience of more than 20 years and runs about $25bn in assets under management and advice.

The fund leverages a diversified set of investment strategies across different asset classes, including equity, fixed income, cash equivalents, currencies and commodities, targeting market-neutral performance at an annualised volatility of 8% over the long term.
