Chong Wang & Eric Weeldreyer; Argonaut Private Equity


Argonaut Private Equity is pleased to announce the promotions of Chong Wang and Eric Weeldreyer to Principal.

Chong has been with the firm since 2013 holding a lead role in the growth of the firm. He is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, structuring and executing transactions, and monitoring portfolio investments. Prior to Argonaut, Chong held roles in acquisitions and divestitures, corporate finance, internal audit, and risk management at Anadarko Petroleum. Chong is originally from Houston and is a graduate of Rice University.

Eric joined Argonaut in 2017 as Vice-President of Investments. He oversees the sourcing of investment opportunities, the structuring and executing of transactions, and monitoring of portfolio investments. Previously, Eric was a member of Paine Schwartz Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in the food and agribusiness sectors. Before that, he worked in the industrial investment banking group at Credit Suisse. A Tulsa native, Eric is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
