Schroders Capital launches AI analyst platform

Schroders Capital has introduced the Generative AI Investment Analyst platform, designed to speed up data analysis for the private equity team.

The internal tool is currently being used by the Schroders Capital team for private equity direct/co-investments, but there are plans for use in primaries and secondaries as the technology is optimised.

The AI has the ability to screen data and create a “significant portion” of draft investment summaries for analysts, but Schroders noted the system will have continuous human oversight and control.

The implementation of GAiiA showcases our commitment to innovation and leveraging technology to deliver superior client outcomes.”

Schroders said it has been deploying AI across its various arms for a “substantial period”. The Schroders Capital team, which deals in private markets, currently holds $94bn assets under management.
