SGS Maine Pointe, a supply chain and operations consulting firm, has hired Neel Malkani as managing director for private equity & industrials.
Based in Washington, DC, Malkani brings more than 20 years of experience advising organizations on financial and operational performance. He has worked on projects in a wide range of industries across 14 countries.
Malkani has deep expertise in transforming the plan-buy-make-move-fulfill value chain and driving sustainable improvements in Ebitda, cash, and growth.
“We have seen first-hand how Neel works with clients to identify and drive performance improvement, and his expertise across the entire value chain matches well with the ongoing needs and desires of our client base,” said Joseph Esteves, CEO of SGS Maine Pointe.
Malkani joins SGS Maine Pointe from operations consultancy Clarendon Partners, where he was director of sales and business development. Before that, he was director of analysis at consulting firm DB&A and a senior manager at High Performance Technologies Inc.
Malkani began his career at Accenture, where he was latterly a senior consultant in the finance practice.
He has an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from George Mason University.
“Joining SGS Maine Pointe provides me with an even greater opportunity to work with private equity firms and industrial organizations, leveraging not only my own background, but also the expertise of my colleagues and SGS Maine Pointe’s own total value optimization methodology,” said Malkani.
Founded in 2004, SGS Maine Pointe provides consulting in areas including operations excellence, supply chain resilience, sourcing optimization and procurement, data analytics, and sustainability. The firm has more than 200 employees across offices in the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, and China.
