International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has appointed Jason Zemmel as a partner in its Transactions Practice Group. Based in London, Zemmel will focus on healthcare M&A and PE.
Zemmel joins from CMS where he was co-head of the law firm’s international PE group. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the UK health and social sectors, where he has advised a wide range of clients, including PE firms, management teams, corporates, investors, and advisers on PE, M&A, corporate finance, and other commercial transactions. Recently, he was part of the CMS team that advised on Clariane’s Berkley Care exit to Elevation Healthcare Property.
“There are many similarities between our clients and [Zemmel’s],” said Harris Siskind, global head of McDermott’s Transactions Practice Group. “Which makes him an exceptional fit for both the firm and the transactions practice.”
