Why Schroders Capital is going for wealth clients now

Having spent the last five years building a private markets platform, Schroders is now ready for the next stage: getting its funds into wealthy clients’ portfolios.

The asset manager started shaping its private markets business in earnest under the leadership of outgoing CEO Peter Harrison, and today it accounts for £66.7bn in assets under management.

Georg Wunderlin, who joined the asset manager to lead the firm’s private markets push in 2019, is now happy with four segments the division developed: private equity, infrastructure, private debt and real estate.
