Arrest after property damaged by firearm

A man has been arrested after a property was damaged by what police believe was a firearm.

Officers were called to Runswick Avenue, Stockton, on Teesside, at about 00:45 BST.

Cleveland Police said no-one was injured.

A 33-year-old is in custody on suspicion of firearms offences while inquiries continue.

The force said it did not believe there was any threat to the wider public, but additional patrols would be carried out in an effort to help reassure the community.
