RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The City of Reno is seeking proposals to develop a property they own on Record Street.
The property is the former Community Assistance Center located at 315 and 335 Record Street. The first appraisal valued the property at $3.4 million, while the other valued it at $3.35 million. The site has two buildings, one approximately 47,000 square feet, and the other approximately 21,000 square feet.
The city is now seeking a developer or group to suggest an economic development program or project that is physically and economically feasible while also being able to meet the City’s goals, which are the following:
- Address Affordable & Workforce Housing
- Increase Housing Density
- Placemaking and Quality of Life
- Sustainability
- An Attractive and Vibrant Neighborhood Improvement
“We welcome all ideas and concepts that fit in the economic development and redevelopment spaces while trying to activate the property and its surrounding area,” said Bryan McArdle, Revitalization Manager at the City. “We are interested in hearing ideas that support the City’s strategic goals with downtown.
Sealed submissions will be received until 5:00 p.m. on July 19 via the City’s online portal. The city will make a decision in August.
