Firefighters lead man to safety from kitchen fire after forcing their way into Walsall property


Crews had to force their way into the property in Vigo Road when they were called to the address shortly before 5pm on Saturday (February 1).

When they arrived they found the kitchen on fire and led an occupant to safety.

Crews from Aldridge and Walsall attended the scene.

West Midlands Fire Service posted on X: “This involved a first-floor kitchen. Two fire engines and a brigade response vehicle responded, from Walsall and Aldridge.

“Crews forced their way in and led a man to safety before he was cared for by the ambulance service. A fire extinguisher was used to put the fire out.”
