Firefighters rush to chimney fire in residential property in South Shropshire


Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting the fire in Grange Road, Bishop’s Castle, at 9:21am today (Saturday, February 22).

The fire was said to be in the flue of a log burner in the property.

Crews tackled the fire using buckets of water, chimney rods and small gear. The firefighters also used a thermal imaging camera to check the premises for any hot spots. 

The incident was concluded at 10:18am.
