Birchwood Park’s energy and infrastructure cluster expands

The North West’s largest out-of-town business destination, Birchwood Park, has announced the arrival of leading independent global built environment consultancy, Gleeds.

With over 140 years of experience, nearly 3000 employees and offices located worldwide, Gleeds has a proven track record of delivering exceptional client services in the built environment. Notably, Gleeds has supported the delivery of some of the UK’s most high profile and prestigious projects, such as the London 2012 Olympics, HS2 and Hinkley Point C.
The Gleeds Warrington office is the headquarters for their Energy business which has been involved in many major UK energy infrastructure programmes for several decades, initially in nuclear and now across the clean energy sector, including natural resources and the nuclear defence estate.
Occupying over 2,700 sq. ft. in Suite E of Chadwick House, Gleeds’ energy team has joined homebuilders Persimmon Homes as one of the first companies to move into the Park, following the completion of the first stage of its multi-million-pound refurbishment.

Birchwood Park’s extensive onsite amenities, including flexible office and meeting spaces, green open areas, and various food and drink options, were key factors driving the move. Additionally, the Park’s exceptional nuclear and energy community will offer Gleeds valuable networking opportunities and the chance to collaborate with like-minded occupiers.
Andy Ellis, Global Head of Gleeds’ energy business said: “We are looking forward to joining the thriving energy and infrastructure community at Birchwood Park.
“The larger office space will enable us to expand our team and make the most of collaboration space to serve our clients. The Park’s impressive amenities and networking opportunities align excellently with our commitment to excellence and innovation in the energy and broader built environment.”

The new office space at Chadwick House features a range of modern amenities, including a new reception area, fully refurbed café space and collaboration area, which have been designed to enhance employee wellbeing and productivity beyond just the office space and across the Park.
Linda Welsby, Leasing Manager at Birchwood Park commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Gleeds to Birchwood Park, further enhancing our reputation as a leading destination for established and growing businesses in the energy and construction sector.
“By joining a vibrant network of like-minded infrastructure businesses such as, the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), The Northern Nuclear Alliance (NNA) and The Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC), Gleeds becomes part of a thriving energy and infrastructure cluster located right here in the heart of the North West.”
