Fund selectors looking for net-zero infrastructure funds have been increasingly busy given the number that have sprung up in recent years.
‘I stopped counting after it got to about 100 different brands in the space,’ said Ulla Agesen, head of infrastructure at Nordic Investment Opportunities (NIO). ‘It was really like building a puzzle as you went along’.
Net-zero infrastructure as an investment theme has become more popular since the introduction of the Inflation Reduction Act in the US, which allowed projects like carbon capture to become commercially viable.
