February 2024, São Paulo – Highline, developer and administrator of infrastructure solutions for telecommunications operators, in partnership with TIM, which has the largest mobile network in Brazil, developed the 4G service infrastructure across the entire length of highways under concession from Concessionária Way-112, which covers more than 412 kilometers of highways in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The project covers the entire length of MS-112 and BR-436 and sections of BR-158, which is located in surrounding the cities of Aparecida do Taboado, Inocência, Paranaíba, Três Lagoas, Cassilândia and Selvíria. In addition to benefiting road users, the technology impacts more than 276 thousand residents of cities, towns and villages in the region, reaching 108 public schools and 46 health units.

Highline built new towers to provide TIM’s 4G coverage in the region, which were delivered in 30 days, a shorter period than the market average. The project demonstrates Highline and TIM’s joint commitment to the development of high-quality telecommunications infrastructure, which will boost sectors such as agribusiness, tourism and other industries.

“We had several specific challenges in this project, as the implementation of sites on highways has several particularities. At Highline we value working in partnership, involving not only our customers but also suppliers. As a consequence, we are now completely better prepared for projects similar to This is road coverage, which is of fundamental importance for society”, says Christiano Morette, COO of Highline.
