Infrastructure capacity limits housing supply


Long-term strategic planning for infrastructure enabling the delivery of much-needed housing in new and existing areas might seem like a dry topic but it underpins the ability to deliver housing affordably and efficiently in the places people want to live, right across Western Australia.

Enabling infrastructure is one area where delays and insufficient forward planning is hampering new housing development both in outer metropolitan areas, as well as in inner-city locations, where infrastructure is ageing and lacks the capacity to facilitate more development.
