Infrastructure Damaged by Heavy Coastal Flooding

Storm surge flooding caused damage to infrastructure and closed roads near Kennebunkport, Maine, on Saturday, January 13.

Footage recorded by Teresa Johnson shows heavy flooding in the coastal town streets.

Local officials closed Beach Avenue along the seafront on Saturday, with emergency services temporarily unable to reach residents there.

Local media reported that many of the areas affected by flooding had also been hit last week.

Damage assessments were ongoing, the report said. Credit: Teresa Johnson via Storyful
