Infrastructure upgraded under GoI’s power loss reduction scheme

In a significant development under the RDSS Loss Reduction Scheme initiated by the Government of India, essential infrastructure upgrades are underway in Srinagar to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the electrical distribution system.
Firstly, a 9-meter pole at Dewan Bagh, ED III, Srinagar, has been successfully straightened, addressing safety concerns and ensuring the integrity of the distribution network. This accomplishment underscores the commitment to improving infrastructure resilience in the region.
Moreover, preparations are in full swing for the installation of SMDB (Sub-Main Distribution Board) boxes for GIS 1 in the Subdivision of Hazuribagh, Electric Division II (Rajbagh), Srinagar. These preparatory measures are integral to the implementation of advanced technologies aimed at optimizing distribution operations and minimizing energy losses.
The ongoing efforts exemplify the proactive approach taken by the authorities to modernize the electrical infrastructure in Srinagar, ultimately contributing to enhanced service delivery and reduced losses in the power distribution system.
