Trains are delayed at some busy London National Rail terminal stations this morning (Monday, July 15). Part of the rail infrastructure has been damaged.
Overhead wires were damaged between London Euston, Clapham Junction and Watford Junction, meaning trains running between these stations will be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.
Disruption is expected until 12pm, National Rail has said.
To avoid disruptions you can use their real-time journey planner and work out a route around the cancellations.
Tickets will be accepted for no extra cost on the following alternatives:
-
Southern services between East Croydon, Clapham Junction and London Victoria
-
London Underground on any reasonable route
-
London Buses between Watford Junction and Clapham Junction
-
London Overground between Watford Junction and London Euston
-
West Midlands Railway between Watford Junction and London Euston
-
London Overground between London Euston and Watford Junction (if they are not affected by this disruption).
-
London Underground Metropolitan Line between London Kings Cross / London St Pancras International – Euston Square – Baker Street – Chesham – Rickmansworth – Watford Tube – Amersham.
-
Arriva bus route 321 between Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey
Passengers are eligible for compensation for service delays so make sure to keep your tickets, National Rail advises.
