ONE Gas Proposes Rate Hike Amidst Infrastructure Investments

ONE Gas (OGS) has issued an update.

ONE Gas, Inc.’s Kansas Gas Service division is seeking a rate hike to recover over $600 million invested in enhancing its natural gas infrastructure for safety, reliability, and environmental responsibility in Kansas. If approved by the KCC, customers could see an average monthly bill increase between $6.71 and $9.48. The proposal includes new residential rate options and an annual performance-based rate adjustment mechanism, ensuring rates reflect the ongoing costs of maintaining high-quality service. This request follows a previous increase and is part of a broader strategy to support the company’s substantial infrastructure investments.
